Receiving Jesus Christ

If you have yet to receive Jesus Christ, you can do it right now. Call out to Him. The Bible says, "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12)." and "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9)."

Right now you can ask Jesus to be the leader of you life.

God created you to know Him, but because of the sin (lies, stealing, cheating, lust, hatred, jealousy...) that is in your life, you have been seperated from God. All of us have this sin problem and no one can be good enough to get to God (you can't go to church enough, be nice enough, or buy enough girl scout cookies... I know, I love them too). Ultimately the wage (payment due) for our sin was death. That means that those that have not dealt with their sin problem upon death cannot stand before God and will not be in heaven (not a good thing). Something had to be done or we were doomed (this is the good part). While we fully deserved death and seperation from God, He loved us so much that He decided to send his only Son to die for us (John 3:16... sound familiar?). Jesus lived a perfect life, and gave us a new way to live, love, and lead others. He calls us to follow after Him. Ultimately He laid down his own life for us, when He died on the cross. In his death, He fully paid for our sin (but that's not all). He defeated our sin once and for all when He rose from the grave (even David Copperfield cannot do that!). Jesus is alive today with God in heaven, and offers anyone life who would put their trust in Him (his life, death-payment for your sin, and resurrection).

To receive Jesus Christ, you must:

1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit.
(Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

You could pray a prayer like this:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer and are serious about following Jesus, we are incredibly excited for you and would love to help you down the road. Please email us at team@pulseoutreach.com and let us know what God is doing in your heart. We would love to send you some free materials to help you grow in your faith, and encourage you personally along the way.
